Get and Respond to Reviews

Get and Respond to Reviews

Once your profile is approved and you start completing work, reviews become one of your most valuable assets on DomusVesta. They are honest signals from real households that tell the next person you are worth choosing. This guide walks you through where your reviews live, how to respond to them well, and how the trust badges beside your name are earned.

Where to find your reviews

  1. Open your reviews page. Once you are approved and logged in, go to your reviews page. This brings everything about your reputation together in one place.

  2. Check your average rating and breakdown. At the top, your reviews page shows your average rating along with a breakdown, so you can see at a glance how your scores are distributed rather than just a single number. This makes it easy to spot patterns over time.

Your reviews and ratings

  1. Read each individual review. Below your overall scores you will find each review left by a household after a completed booking. Take time to read them properly. The detail in a written review often tells you more than the stars alone.

  2. Look for the Verified badge. Reviews left by households after a completed booking carry a Verified badge. This badge tells everyone the review came from someone who genuinely had work done, which is exactly why these reviews carry weight with future households.

Responding to a review

A thoughtful response shows future households the kind of provider you are. It is your chance to say thank you, add context, or handle a concern gracefully.

  1. Choose a review to reply to. On your reviews page, you can write a public response to any review, whether it is glowing or more critical.

  2. Thank households for positive reviews. When someone leaves you a great review, a short, warm reply goes a long way. It shows you appreciate the feedback and that you care about the people you work for.

  3. Respond calmly to critical reviews. If a review is less positive, keep your response polite, factual and professional. Acknowledge the concern, briefly explain your side if helpful, and show you take feedback seriously. Future households often judge you more by how you handle a difficult moment than by the moment itself.

  4. Remember your response is public. Because your reply can be seen by anyone viewing your profile, write every response as though your next customer is reading it, because they very likely are.

How your ratings and badges are earned

It is worth understanding what sits behind the numbers and badges on your profile, because it is what makes them trustworthy.

  1. Ratings come from completed bookings. Your rating statistics are calculated automatically from your completed bookings and the ratings households leave. You do not assemble them yourself; they build up naturally as you do good work.

  2. Trust badges are earned, never bought. Your trust badges, such as Trusted Provider and Community Champion, are also calculated automatically. They draw on your completed bookings, your ratings and your reliability.

  3. You cannot buy or claim them. This is the important part. You cannot buy or claim your ratings or badges, and that is exactly what makes them mean something. When a household sees a badge beside your name, they know it was earned through real, finished work, not paid for or self-awarded.

  4. Reliability feeds into the picture. Because reliability is part of how badges are calculated, the everyday habits that serve households well, such as responding promptly, honouring confirmed bookings and completing jobs you take on, quietly strengthen your standing over time.

Turning reviews into more work

Reviews are not just a record of the past; they are an engine for your future bookings. A few simple practices help you make the most of them:

  • Do the work that earns the review. The single best way to build great reviews is to deliver consistently good jobs and clear communication.
  • Invite honest feedback. Let happy households know that a review really helps your small business, so they remember to leave one after the job is done.
  • Respond to as many reviews as you can. A profile full of warm, professional responses shows you are engaged and that you value the people you work for.

Your reputation on DomusVesta is built on genuine, verified feedback, which is why it carries so much trust with households deciding who to invite into their homes. To understand the full picture of how feedback flows from a finished job to a public review, read our guide on how reviews work.

Keep doing great work and responding with care, and your reviews and badges will become one of the strongest reasons local households choose you.
